Anybody who thinks APC can defeat PDP in Rivers is day-Dreaming

Chief Glory Emeh is a political strategist who has served as Chief of Staff and Commissioner in the Rivers State Government.

APC can never come near to defeat PDP in any election in the state.

After the Supreme Court judgment, Nigerians are desperate to know the next you’re your party, the PDP is envisaging to ensure that you take over powers in 2019

There is no gainsaying that the party is strong enough to reposition itself to win election in 2019.

This is more obvious when you realize that there is more problem in APC itself.

When you have two wives, you will know which one is better.

Nigerians are experiencing the services of two different women.

Having seen where we dropped from the position of strength between 1999 and 2015 and where we are now of APC two years rules of being in charge, your guess is as good as mine as to where Nigeria has been as a nation.

You cannot be in a position where you cannot feed. Where the relationship between our currency and that of the other countries of the world, you cannot just mention it.

I just Came back from the united States and I had some bundle of N100,000 in my back pocket and when the security man wanted to search, he asked what it was.

I told him that it was a N100,000.

He went further to probe how much it was and I asked him to work it out himself.

Probably he saw how big the bundle was and quickly wanted to know the value of that in dollars to ascertain whether or not it is what is allowable in their country.

That is where we are after APC had taken over two years after.

Nigerians are very much in a hurry and if there is any way they can wind the hand of the clock forward for 2019 to come, they will be happy to do that.

Even in your home, there must be somebody that is directing the affairs in your house.

But in Nigeria now there is nobody that is directing the affairs of the country.

The Acting President had to travel to London to take directives from another person before he could do anything.

It means there is no standard.

All over the world, when you handover power, you cannot at the same time probate and reprobate.

This is how God wants PDP to get back to power faster than it would have been.

If the APC government was doing well, it would have been very difficult for PDP to compete.

The popular opinion now is that APC has failed Nigerians and they need a quick reversal to put back those they have tested for sixteen years.

To that extent, you can say that PDP will get back to power in 2019.

Having said that, the judgment of the supreme court is also one happening that has fastened this situation.

It appeared two persons were at loggerhead but from the same party.

It would have been worse if the argument was from different parties.

This is just a struggle for service.

Not all of us can be a President, governor or lawmaker at the same time.

Why we enter politics is to provide service for the people.

The major interest in politics is the platform and nobody can do anything without the party.

The party must be strengthened.

I have no doubt that the Ali Modu Sheriff group has the interest of the party at heart and will therefore smoothly join forces with Senator Ahmad Makarfi to move the party forward.

Some people are afraid that the Sheriff group of the party may come up with another joker to destabilize the party, how can PDP resolve its internal wrangling for possible stability?

If the interest of everybody is to serve Nigeria and also promote the interest of the party, there is no reason for any friction again. In a contest, it is often one person who wins.

The supreme court is the final court in the land.

According to late Nikki Tobi, the only alternative is for you to complain to God.

If the real reason for Sheriff is to serve the people, then he has no reason not to stick to the no victor, no vanquish position of Governor Nyesom Wike.

Wike is a person who keeps to his words.

His position will be taken seriously and everybody should come and work together.

There are several parties in Nigeria but we only have two major ones that everybody talks about.

It takes a lot of energy to build a party.

You cannot build a party overnight.

Why APC appears to have come out strong is because of a little attribute of former President Goodluck Jonathan lackadaisical and docile attitude.

But even at that, you cannot fail two times.

Wike is a very serious strategist.

And as part of the leadership of the PDP, you can be sure that the party will do better.

You don’t need to boarder about APC in Rivers state because it is death in the state.

What happened at THE DOME along Peter Odili road, the drama that played in APC leadership meeting there is sufficient for you to conclude that with fear of any contradiction that the party is death and death for ever.

what wike is bordered about is not APC, any more, he is boardered about how to harness available scare resources to accelerate the developmental growth.

The peace of the state is already cemented.

the bond of fraternal co existence is been cemented and the barrier of separatism is being fine-tuned by group known as Rivers elders consultative forum.

At the moment, the administrative secretary is one Tonye Grandville Georgewill and we are happy with what they are doing.

I believe by the end of this year they would have put all the warring groups together and we can have a lasting peace in the state.

Do you think Nyesome Wike has done enough to deserve a second term?

For the short period I have followed him, you see commitment in governance, I am not a novice, I had worked with Odili and Omehia, I have been in the corridors of power for a long time, we know when a governor is performing.

you can see, I visited several project sites, both completed and ongoing, few days ago, we went to Econumical centre, project for all the christains denomination in the state, and you see what he is doing.

For the first time in the continental Africa, we are seeing an Amusement park that is of a world class.

I did not know how many of you have been to Sheppard bush pleasure park before, with due respect ,some of you may not have an International Passport, we will arrange for you to go to Sheppard Bush pleasure park and see the replica wike is doing in PH.

then the schools, the hospitals, the renovations.

my people used to have a proverb, if one man sees a snake, no matter how tine the snake may be, he may described it as a piton and others will take it hook line and sinker, because they did not see it but, everything wike is doing in this town was also notice by the vice President Yemi Osibanjo when he visited such that he has to christened wike MR PROJECT.

Most people described that wike has turned Rivers State a project site, so I think, hate him, love him, you can see a man that is desire to help the people.

You can see a man that is working towards redefining the infrastructural development of the state.

I am proud that I came at the time I came to embrace him, because I hear that by the meeting APC held last Thursday, the party has been finally buried in the state.

I count myself lucky to had left when I did.

I am planning to do a thanksgiving that I left the time I left.

It can also be argued that PDP has been in power for sixteen years while APC is just two years old, is it not too early to start the comparison.

I had argued that in the past.

A good dance starts with the first step.

If the first step is wrong, then there is a problem.

The first two years shows that the worst will come under APC.

The best thing is to start well.

Have you ever seen a deaf person dancing to a drumbeat?

That is how the APC is right now in Nigeria.

Nigerians cannot suffer for too time.

If we had a direction, it would have been better.

The fact Osinbajo has to go to London to take directives from somebody who is not well shows that he cannot do anything on his own if he does not take permission from the President.

The man cannot even speak to Nigerians.

Last time he spoke, he did that in a native language and all of us cannot speak that language.

Look at the minister for agriculture.

He is old.

He has been there since the time of Shehu Shagari when we were in secondary school.

There is a limit to what somebody can do.

Why must it be so

What is your take on the much talked about restructuring?

Restructuring is a matter of semantics.

The country itself is restructured.

What is restructuring?

It is about moving along the path of true federalism.

When we were in Atlanta for a dinner with the Mayor of the city of Atlanta, he told us a story of how they operate.

He said that there, whatever is found in your land belongs to you and you only need to pay tax or certain percentage to the national government to execute certain projects.

Apart from having a federal police, they also have the state and regional police.
